A Newark Valley man has been indicted on a charge of criminally negligent homicide. 65-year-old Raymond Ellis Sr. was arrested earlier this month after police say he sold drugs to a female who later overdosed. The female was found dead at the Skylark Motel in Vestal in December. In addition to criminally negligent homicide, Ellis was also arrested on charges of tampering with evidence, as well as criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance. Ellis will now head to trial.
