Several farm animals were killed and two buildings were destroyed in an early morning fire in Whitney Point. Four separate structures on a Page Brook Road farm caught fire shortly before 4am. Firefighters from four different counties responded to the farm, where fire had spread to the main house, two barns, and a garage. One barn and the garage are considered a total loss, but fire crews were able to salvage part of the house and the other barn. Four people were home at the time of the fire but made it out safely. Several animals were saved, but not all of them could be rescued in time. Crews believe the fire started in an outdoor wood stove.
