A city resident was stabbed to death early Sunday in Binghamton and detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate a person of interest. Binghamton Police say 31-year-old Santos Echevarria was fatally stabbed during a disturbance in the parking lot of Town & Country Apartments around 2:30am Sunday. Police are now looking for 25-year-old Juan Lopez. He is described as a white male of Hispanic origin, standing 5-foot-6 and weighing around 120 pounds. Lopez lives in Binghamton, but has ties to New York City and Monroe County. Anyone with information on the man’s whereabouts is asked to call Binghamton Police at 607-772-7080.
