Binghamton Mayor Rich David will present his 2017 State of the City Address tonight. The mayor says he will focus on public safety, infrastructure, taxes, and other issues in his address at 7pm in the Binghamton City Council Chambers. Mayor David says some of the plans he reveals tonight will not just be for 2017, but for the next several years. That includes his plan to update all of the city’s 150 miles of streets over the next 10 years. He also wants to focus on revitalizing the city’s north side, which just saw the K-Mart close its doors for good. Finally, he plans to talk about how the city can work with the county, state, and federal governments to combat the heroin epidemic in Binghamton.
