A Town of Maine teenager has been charged with animal cruelty, accused of killing his aunt’s small dog by stepping on it. The Broome County Sheriff’s Office was called to a trailer on Route 26 in Maine around 2:30pm Monday for a reported burglary. The victim told deputies there was blood on her carpet and her dog – a Chihuahua – was missing. Deputies believe the victims’ nephew – 18-year-old Kyle Corbin – killed the dog and tossed it in a creek behind the home. He then allegedly told his aunt that the trailer had been burglarized to cover up the crime. The sheriff’s office says Corbin had been living with his aunt for the last month after moving to the area from Florida.
