Route 17 remains closed between Exit 62 (Nichols) and Exit 63 (Lounsberry) to repair damage caused by recent storms. The New York State Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that they hope to make the needed repairs to open one lane in each dire ction by mid-August. Their goal is to complete the repairs by Labor Day.
