The Binghamton Devils beat Bridgeport 2-1 in their inaugural home opener, Saturday night. In the first period, Blake Pietila (Pee-A-tella) scored a shorthanded goal and Nathan Bastian scored on a penalty shot. Goalie Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 26 shots in the win. A sellout crowd witnessed the win.
