A 24-year-old Whitney Point man has been arrested on multiple charges related to the manufacture of methamphetamine. Thomas Cole has been charged with 14 felony counts of Identity Theft and Falsifying Business Records, as well as 10 misdemeanor charges of Forgery, 4 counts of Scheme to Defraud, and 14 counts of Criminal Impersonation. The charges stem from an investigation into the purchase of pseudoephedrine, a precursor to the manufacture of meth. From September 22nd to November 12th, Cole used New York State driver’s licenses belonging to two individuals to purchase the pseudoephedrine in Broome County Pharmacies. Cole has been arraigned in both Village of Johnson City Court and Village of Endicott Court. He has been remanded to the Broome County Jail.
