Last Saturday, the Elmira Police were called to a home on the 300 block of East Thurston Avenue in the city for a death investigation. Upon arrival, police found that an eight-year-old girl had died inside the residence. The death has been ruled a homicide. Police are saying that there is no evidence to suggest that there is any danger to the general public, and that the death is believed to be an isolated incident.
