Tioga County is mourning the loss of Richford fire chief John Keener, who passed away suddenly on Thursday night. John was a lifetime member of the department and chief since 2010. He had been dealing with health issues, but his death was unexpected. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 11AM to 2PM at the MacPherson Funeral Home in Newark Valley. The funeral will be immediately afterwards.
