An Elmira man has died after his car plunged into the Chemung River in Wellsburg on Wednesday morning. The man was found unconscious in his car with the seat belt fastened. 72-year-old George Crowe was taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
