Binghamton Police are investigating a weekend homicide on the city’s west side. Police responded to 911 reports of shots fired in the area of Main Street and Walnut Street around 4:44 Sunday morning. Investigators say a 27-year-old man was shot while on the sidewalk in that area. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds where he later died. Authorities are still searching for the suspect at this time.
