On Friday, police arrested an Elmira man, following a two-month investigation into the sale of drugs from a residence on Albert Street. 28-year-old Tamell Williams-Atkins was charged with three felony counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance. Police stopped Williams-Atkins in a vehicle, prior to the execution of a search warrant. He was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana. During the search warrant, police seized an additional quantity of crack cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police also located a loaded handgun that was reported stolen in Pennsylvania. Additional charges are pending.
