Former Syracuse University and NFL football star, Tim Green, has been diagnosed with ALS. Tim had been experiencing neurological problems for the past five years, believing that the problem was related to his football career. However, surgery didn’t correct the problem and his voice began to weaken. This led to the ALS diagnosis. Tim has a slow-progressing version of the disease. He will be telling his story this Sunday on 60 Minutes at 7PM on CBS. After football, Tim became a bestselling author and was a frequent public speaker at schools. His articulate voice will now focus on finding a cure for the disease.
