A combined choir of singers from Newark Valley area churches will be performing a Christmas Cantata, titled “Go Sing It on the Mountain.” The cantata will include a mixture of mountain melodies, folk hymns, spirituals, and familiar carols. The cantata will be held on Sunday December 9th at 7:00pm at the United Methodist Church on Main Street in Newark Valley. This free musical celebration will be directed by Mrs. Jewel Griffith and accompanied by Mrs. Brenda Yeier. If inclement weather causes cancellation, the Cantata will be held on the following Sunday at the same time and location.
