Area police agencies say they plan to participate in a special enforcement effort to crackdown on impaired driving this Super bowl weekend. The statewide STOP-DWI Crackdown effort starts tomorrow and will end on Monday with heavy patrols Sunday evening into Monday morning. Troopers, deputy sheriffs and municipal law enforcement agencies will collaborate across the state and will be out in force in this coordinated effort to reduce the number of alcohol related injuries and deaths. Police in every jurisdiction remind residents to celebrate responsibly and make sure you have a safe ride home.
