Some Pennsylvania state lawmakers are throwing their support behind Governor Wolf’s proposal to raise Pennsylvania’s minimum wage to twelve dollars an hour by July. State senator Vincent Hughes says that with a currently minimum wage of 7-25 an hour, PA law is producing some unintended consequences. The governor’s proposal raises the wage to $12 an hour on July 1st of this year, with gradual 50 cent increases until reaching $15 an hour in 2025.
