New York State Police are continuing a campaign today that targets speeding and aggressive drivers. “Speed Week” enforcement campaign began last Thursday and runs through Wednesday, June 12. Troopers will also actively patrol highway work zones and will target drivers who violate New York’s “Move Over” Law.
Speeding is listed as a contributing factor in nearly one third of all fatal crashes in New York State. During last year’s “Speed Week” campaign, Troopers issued more than 24,000 tickets, including 11,380 for speeding.
