New York State Police are again reminding motorists to move over for emergency vehicles. On Monday, a state trooper from the Liberty barracks (Sullivan County) had a close call on State Route 17 in the Town of Rockland. The trooper had stopped a motorist for a vehicle and traffic law violation when his police car was struck from behind as he prepared to exit. Fortunately, the trooper only sustained non-life threatening injuries.
