A Binghamton man has been sentenced to 8 years in state prison for criminal possession of a weapon.
According to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, 18-year-old Namique McBride was a passenger in a stolen vehicle in May. He led police on a short foot pursuit before being apprehended. During the arrest, police found a loaded ghost gun on McBride.
McBride will have to serve five years of probation following his release from state prison.
The Binghamton Police Department and Broome County Special Investigations Unit investigated the case.
