A retrial is underway for a man accused of starting a house fire in the City of Binghamton that killed a 17-year-old more than a decade ago.

Jeremiah Raub is facing charges of murder in the second degree and arson in the first degree for allegedly starting the fire that killed Jeffrey Aissa back in 2011.

Raub was arrested in March of 2023 and his first trial ended in a hung jury earlier this year.

During the retrial, the prosecution showed the jury body camera footage of Raub confessing to the crime during his arrest. However, the defense is arguing that he was pressured into confessing.

The prosecution rested its case on Monday.
