A local organization fighting food insecurity has been awarded a $50,000 grant.
According to WBNG-TV, State Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo announced the grant funding during a visit to CHOW on Tuesday morning.
The grant will help the local organization feed families in Broome County.
CHOW is also getting set to host its 43rd annual CHOW Hunger Walk this weekend.
The fundraiser will be held from noon to 3 p.m. at the Oakdale Commons.
The free event is open to the entire community and will feature opportunities to make donations to help CHOW continue its mission of feeding local families in need.
