Pennsylvania State Treasurer and Valley resident Stacy Garrity has received a major endorsement in her run for governor.
Garrity has announced that she has been endorsed by the Pennsylvania Republican Party.
The Sayre High School grad is looking to win the Republican nomination and then take on current Gov. Josh Shapiro in the 2026 general election.
Garrity has also recently been endorsed by former Gov. Tom Corbett, who served from 2011 to 2015.
If elected, Garrity would be the first female governor in Pennsylvania’s history.
