A Waverly man is facing charges following a four-vehicle crash in Sayre last month.
According to police, 24-year-old Noah Tappan-Bright has been charged with two felony counts of accident involving in death or injury while not licensed, misdemeanor accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property and several other related charges.
The arrest stems from a four-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Lockhart Street and Pennsylvania avenue in Sayre on Friday, Sept. 5.
Police said Tappan-Bright’s vehicle had a strong smell of marijuana inside. The suspect left the scene of the accident. He also didn’t have a driver’s license in New York and only a photo ID in Pennsylvania.
A witness said Tappan-Bright was driving on Center Street and didn’t stop at a stop sign before turning onto Pennsylvania Avenue at a high rate of speed.
Videos of the crash were found from neighboring houses in the area.
