Troy Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox is facing charges from the PA Judicial Conduct Board following allegations of inappropriate conduct.
The judicial board files charges against Wilcox on Oct. 10, including a petition for an interim suspension without pay until the matter is resolved.
Wilcox took a leave of absence starting on Aug. 18. The Daily Review reported he returned to the bench late last month.
According to the complaint, Wilcox is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a defendant in a harassment case in his district court.
The complaint includes 91 pages of screenshots of text messages allegedly between Wilcox and the individual.
The judicial board accuses Wilcox of violating the Rules Governing Standards of Conduct of Magisterial District Judges and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Wilcox has served as the district judge in Troy since 2000.
