A Horseheads man if facing felony charges in connection with the death of a three-year-old child.
A Chemung County Grand Jury indicted 27-year-old Christopher Woods on one count of murder, manslaughter and assault, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Woods is accused of repeatedly slamming the three-year-old boy to the floor, which caused blunt force trauma to the child’s head and brain.
He is also accused of beating the child with wooden sticks and using wrestling-like moves on him.
The indictment also alleges that Woods assaulted a two-year-old child with the wooden sticks.
