A Bradford County man will spend years in state prison for sexually assaulting a child.
According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 39-year-old Dennis J. Vanderpool, Jr. was sentenced to a minimum of 5 1/2 years to a maximum of 31 years in state prison for one count of corruption of minors, three felony counts of indecent assault and five misdemeanor counts of indecent assault.
Vanderpool was charged by Athens Township Police in 2024 following an investigation into incidents that occurred from November of 2021 to January of 2022.
The investigation revealed that Vanderpool had been trusted to babysit the victim while their parent was caring for another family member in hospice.
