New York State Troopers issued more than 47,000 tickets across the state during a holiday enforcement campaign.
The Drive High, Get a DUI campaign ran from Dec. 10 through Jan. 1. It resulted in 767 arrests for driving while intoxicated.
Troopers also investigated 6,233 car accidents, including 13 that were fatal.
During the campaign, troopers used sobriety checkpoints and increased patrols.
In the Southern Tier, there were 49 DWI arrests and over 3,500 tickets issued for violations including speeding and distracted driving.
