Longtime Athens Township Police Chief Roger Clink will step down from the position at the end of March.
Clink submitted his letter of resignation to the Athens Township Board of Supervisors. His final day on the job will be March 31.
In the letter, Clink thanked the board of supervisors, past and present, the residents of Athens Township and the officers he worked with over the past 35 years.
Following his retirement as Athens Township Police Chief, Clink is planning on assisting the department with the school resource officer program at the Athens Area School District.
