An attorney has entered the race for New York’s 23rd Congressional seat.
Democrat Kevin Stocker is looking to unseat Republican Congressman Nick Langworthy.
Stocker has served as an attorney for more than 30 years at law firms across New York, including 15 years as a local prosecutor in Erie County.
He will face off with St. Bonaventure University professor Aaron Gies in the Democratic primary on June 23.
The general election is set for Nov. 3. The 23rd Congressional District covers five entire counties, including Chemung and Tioga, and parts of others including Schuyler and Steuben.
