The Tioga County United Way has started putting up Hometown Hero banners in the Village of Owego.
The project, which started last year, honors those who have served with signs dedicated to military, EMS, fire and police officers.
The non-profit organization will continue to put up the banners as they receive them.
The United Way has received 145 requests, with 135 banners completed.
The organization is hoping to have all banners up before Memorial Day.
