Virginia man arrested for making threats at Dandy in East Smithfield

A Virginia man is facing charges after he allegedly made threats at a Dandy Mini Mart in Bradford County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 30-year-old Fairfax, Virginia resident Benjamin S. Levine has been charged with terroristic threats causing an evacuation of a building, driving under the influence, defiant trespassing, possession of a controlled substance and other related charges.

The incident occurred at the Dandy Mini Mart on Church Street in Smithfield Township at around 6:45 pm on Saturday.

Police said Levine refused to leave the store when asked and began shouting and overturning store property.

He allegedly threatened to shoot a bystander and said he would blow the building up and shoot everyone in the store.

The store was evacuated in response to the threats. Levine was remanded to the Bradford County Jail on $65,000 bail.
