SAYRE – For the third straight year, some of the best wrestlers in Pennsylvania and New York will compete on Desmond Street in downtown Sayre this summer.
The third annual Duals on Desmond All-Star Wrestling Showcase will return to Sayre on Saturday, June 6 with youth, varsity boys and varsity girls matches between All-Star teams from Pennsylvania and New York.
Last year, over a thousand fans flocked to Desmond Street in Sayre to watch the Duals on Desmond, and they were treated to three outstanding dual meets.
The event will begin with local musician Jay performing from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Opening ceremonies, including the Presentation of Colors by the Army National Guard, will begin at 4:30 with the youth dual kicking off the wrestling action at 4:45.
The varsity girls dual is scheduled to begin at 6 and the varsity boys will wrap up the event at 7:45. Times are subject to change, depending on length of matches.
