The community will come together for the annual Memorial Day festivities in Owego on Monday.
Starting at 8 a.m., the reading of the names of deceased Tioga County Veterans will take place on WEBO and the My Hometown Today app.
The Memorial Day Parade will kick off at 10 a.m. It starts on Temple Street in front of the Owego Police Department, moves up North Avenue, turns east onto Main Street, cuts south down Paige Street, and wraps up by traveling west along Front Street.
The procession features local government officials, youth sports and scouting groups, Owego Elementary students, civic organizations, area first responders with fire trucks, and the Owego Free Academy Marching Band.
Immediately following the parade, the community will gather at the Tioga County Veterans Memorial at the Courthouse Square for a solemn formal ceremony.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on WEBO.
