The victim in Sunday’s fatal hit-and-run accident has been identified.
According to Horseheads Police, 57-year-old Carlos Sanchez of Horseheads was killed in the crash.
The incident occurred at around 10:40 pm on Sunday near Grand Central Ave. and John Street in the Village of Horseheads.
Horseheads Police have charged 34-year-old Louis R. Johnson with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, which is a Class D felony.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
