The Waverly Wolverines captured their first Section IV baseball championship in over a decade with a win over Maine-Endwell on Friday.
The Wolverines pulled away for an 11-4 win over the Spartans in Game 3 of the Best of 3 championship series.
It was Waverly’s first Section IV title since 2013 and the program’s second-ever sectional championship.
Waverly will play Section II runner-up Scotia-Glenville at 5 pm on Tuesday at Johnson City High School.
