Owego man facing felony charges for allegedly possessing child sex abuse materials

An Owego man is facing felony charges for allegedly possessing child sex abuse materials.

According to the New York State Police, 37-year-old Dason Tinkham has been charged with obscenity in the first degree and possessing sexual performance by a child less than 16.

The arrest stems from a Cyber Tip received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

After receiving the tip, troopers conducted a search at Tinkham’s residence in Owego.

He was arrested and sent to the Tioga County Jail.
