The Class of 2026 will graduate from Athens and Sayre tonight.
The Sayre graduation ceremony will be held at 6 pm tonight at the Lockhart Street Bowl.
The Athens commencement ceremony will start at 7 pm at Alumni Stadium.

ATHENS AREA HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION INFORMATION

The Athens Area School District is excited to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2026! To help ensure a safe and enjoyable graduation experience for all guests, please review the following important information regarding traffic, parking, and event access.

Graduation Ceremony

June 5th, 2026

Athens Alumni Stadium

Gates Open at 5:00 PM

Ceremony Begins at 7:00 PM

Road Closure Information:
Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed to all traffic beginning at 6:00 PM and will remain closed until the conclusion of the graduation ceremony. Please plan accordingly and allow extra travel time.

General Parking General parking will be available at the following locations:

Athens Area High School Parking Lots

Harlan Rowe Middle School Parking Lots

Lynch-Bustin Elementary School Parking Lots

Available parking on and around Second Street and Third Street within the Borough of Athens
Guests are encouraged to arrive early due to anticipated traffic and parking demands.

Handicap Parking Information Handicap parking will be available beginning at 5:00 PM behind Athens Area High School. Please note the following:

Only vehicles displaying a valid handicap parking placard or handicap license plate will be permitted access to the handicap parking area behind the high school.

Handicap parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once the designated handicap parking area reaches capacity, vehicles displaying valid handicap credentials may enter the area to drop off passengers but must then exit and park at another available parking location.

Security will do their best to accommodate patrons.

Gates will open at 5:00 PM.
To avoid delays and ensure adequate seating, guests are strongly encouraged to arrive early.
