There are plenty of ways to celebrate America’s 250th birthday this weekend in Tioga County.
Owego will hold its First Friday celebration from 5 to 8 pm tonight with local restaurants and shops participating.
The Newark Valley Historical Society’s free summer concert series will continue tonight with Greg Neff taking the stage at 7.
Candor’s annual Fourth of July Celebration will begin today with several events, including the kiddie parade at 6:30 and the After Market Band playing at 7:30. There will be food from 6 til close.
Fireworks will light up the sky at the end of the night.
On Saturday, the party continues with the parade at 10 am, a family water park from 11 to 4 and a patriotic concert at 7 inside the Candor High School auditorium.
