The Village of Waverly began tree trimming work on Thursday.
Work was expected to continue through Saturday, but the Waverly Police Department announced Thursday afternoon that it has been suspended.
In a Facebook post, the police department said the tree removal crew was reassigned due to an emergent situation in the Midwest.
The tree removal and trimming has been temporarily suspended for approximately 2 to 3 weeks.
The village will provide further updates when available.
