Guthrie’s First Impressions Birthing Center is offering a community gathering and memorial display for families affected by miscarriage, stillbirth or the loss of a child.
The annual Walk of Remembrance is scheduled for Sunday, October 11, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the Clinic Atrium on the Robert Packer Hospital campus in Sayre. Families, friends and other community members are invited.
Guthrie says the ceremony gives families a place for remembrance, reflection and support while honoring children whose lives affected those who loved them.
Families may request a blue or pink pinwheel on the hospital campus in memory of a child. Each pinwheel may include the child’s name. The display will remain for one week beginning October 11.
For a memorial pinwheel or further information, families can contact [email protected]. The Walk of Remembrance is open to all families and community members who wish to take part.
