Candle Found to be Cause of Apartment Fire

A fire at a Binghamton apartment on Thursday was caused by a candle igniting a curtain. The Chapin Street fire was limited to one apartment. The candle was still burning when firefighters arrived. There were no injuries.

DOT Bridge Crew Assaulted by Paint Guns

On Friday, A state Department of Transportation bridge crew in Buffalo was assaulted by a paintball gun from a passing vehicle. Neither person was seriously injured. The State Police is working to identify the responsible parties.
