Firefighter Injured in Binghamton University Fire

Firefighters responded to fire at Binghamton University Tuesday afternoon when some ash started on fire in a facilities building. The building was evacuated safely. One firefighter was treated for a heat related injury. Multiple departments responded to the incident.

DOT Region 9 Director to Retire

New York State DOT Region 9 Director, Jack Williams, will be retiring July 26th. Williams has been the regional director since 2000, when he was named acting director. The position was made permanent in 2002. He has been with the DOT for 35 years.
