The State of Emergency in Tioga County, New York was lifted yesterday at 5PM. The State of Emergency was put into effect a week ago, following the heavy rains and flash flooding experienced in the region.

Church Sustains Major Damage In Apalachin
The Faith Christian Church in Apalachin was heavily damaged by flood waters. A nearby creek flooded the church on Beach Road, breaking down one of the doors and inundating the interior. Early estimates are that there was $30,000 to $45,000 in damage.

Man Found Under Overpass In Waverly Has Been Identified
The Waverly Police have released the identity of the man found dead underneath the Route 220 Overpass. 56-year-old Robert Lunn of Waverly was found dead on Wednesday.
The Waverly Police Department continues to investigate.
