The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Broome, southern Tioga, southern Chemung, southwestern Chenango, and northern Bradford counties. The flood reporting gauges indicate flooding across the warned areas, including the Owego Creek, the Tioughnioga River, and the Chenango River. Flood waters were moving down the Owego Creek toward Owego. Moderate flooding was occurring, and the flood crest is expected to reach between 9.5 and 10.0 feet by 9 AM, then recede. The major flood stage is 10.0 feet. Minor to moderate flood levels were occurring on parts of the Tioughnioga and Chenango rivers.
