Borders Bookstore in Ithaca to Close
The Borders Bookstore in Ithaca's Pyramid Mall will be closing in April.
Borders, which has just filed for bankruptcy protection, will close 30 percent of its stores, nine are in New York.

Steven Pieper, 21, from the Town of Clay, near Syracuse, entered a guilty plea to second degree murder in the November 19 death of Jenni-Lyn Watson.

Man Without Pants Arrested for Burglary in Candor
Jordan Smoke, of the Akwesasne Indian Reservation, was arrested by New York State Police on Saturday.
The 19 year old entered a Candor home at about 4AM.

Twelve high schools from Broome, Tioga, Chemung, and Delaware counties competed in the Science Olympiad Saturday at Binghamton University.

Mobile Home Destroyed by Fire in Tioga Center
A mobile home caught fire in Tioga Center on Saturday afternoon.
The home on Route 17c was destroyed.
