Some Canton properties have drawn the attention of the town’s supervisors, and as a result, will be asked to clean up within sixty days. Delores Parks’ property along Route 14 in Canton has been reported to be in violation of the township’s Junkyard and Refuse Ordinance. Parks now has sixty days to clean her property, which has accumulated garbage, vehicles, and other debris. She was cited for not maintaining a junkyard without a license, and also having no fencing, planting, access roads, or fire breaks, according to court papers. Failure to clean the property will result in fines. The Grover Milk Plant property is also being forced to clean up after the town notified its owner, Archie Vroman. The clean-up efforts at that property were reportedly held back by the severity of this past winter.
