Yesterday’s weather resulted in the postponing of a benefit concert in Ithaca for those affected by the tractor-trailer crash into Simeon’s restaurant. The June 20th tractor-trailer wreck killed one woman, Amanda Bush, and resulted in the closing of several businesses in the Commons. The concert was originally scheduled for 6 to 9 o’clock Tuesday night at Ithaca’s Stewart Park, but the report of damaging winds and hail from the National Weather Service resulted in the concert being pushed to July 15th from 6 to 9. The benefit will aid the Simeon’s staff, tenants who lived in the Simeon’s building and have since been displaced, the Cornell Barber Shop, and Titus Gallery, which is in the adjoining building.
