Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced that the state will be giving $27 million in funding to the Summer Youth Employment Program. The program will allow over 18,000 teens from low-income homes to find summer jobs and gain work experience, including jobs at parks, nursing homes, summer camps, and more. Counties across the state saw different amounts given by the state, with Tioga County receiving just under $71,000 of the funding, and Broome County over $343,000.
