Donations have been streaming in for the family of the woman killed in the crash on Friday. 27-year-old Amanda Bush, of Lansing, was killed when the tractor-trailer came crashing into Simeon’s restaurant, where she was a bartender, at an estimated 40 miles per hour. The United Way of Tompkins County has set up an online donation stream titled The Amanda Bush Memorial Fund. A separate fundraising effort by Ithaca resident Nora Abramov reached its goal of $20,000 on Tuesday. Some separate efforts are being made to establish fundraisers for Simeon’s employees who lost their jobs or were traumatized by the incident. Some local restaurants have also been offering jobs to Simeon’s workers.
